What is the starting salary for a college graduate from the computer engineering program in canada? and how often do they get raises? is it easy to advance to a higher level in this career? and is raises based on years of experience or productivity?
Starting salary can be anything from minimum wage to $60,000 a year. It depends on how much experience outside of school you gave yourself while at school. If you came out of school, having done nothing but what the school asked you to do, welcome to a career in sales at the Future Shop.
It is very easy to rise fast. Promotions have zero to do with amount of time served. They have to do with productivity and sheer outright brilliance. Basically by how much value added you provde your employed. Except in the employ of the government.
